After receiving a few suggestions that I do so, I have decided to reopen and repopulate my blog. My blog was largely abandoned over the past year, as I have been working very busily at MySpace and I was focused on making a name for myself and implementing several key projects during some turbulent times for the company. At one time the front page of bmbaker.net was reserved for my half-hearted attempt at seeking independent consulting work, but at this stage of my career I have developed enough reputation and contacts that I decided it would be best to scrap the whole idea and just run with the blog only.

I have also changed the philosophy of how the site should work. I found that one of the reasons I never came to update the site was because I had no reason to come here. Once I had written something, I had no interest in visiting again and as a result it was easy to forget about. To make my site more interesting for me to visit, I will be adding various functions and features such as news readers and other types of site integration (you can already see some such things have already been implemented).
